As a remodeling contractor, I would like Magicplan to support visual work zones and partial wall selection. Currently, estimates can only be assigned to entire rooms or walls. In real remodeling projects, work is often performed only on specific sections, such as shower walls, backsplash areas, repair zones, waterproofing areas, or tile installation areas. Requested functionality: • Select a specific portion of a wall, floor, or ceiling. • Create visual work zones directly on the floor plan. • Highlight selected areas with colored outlines and transparent fills. • Assign estimate items directly to those selected areas. • Automatically show those highlighted areas in estimates, reports, and PDF exports. Construction layers should be supported within each selected area: * Demolition * Framing * Plumbing * Electrical * Drywall * Waterproofing * Tile Installation * Painting * Finish Work Suggested color coding: Red = Demolition Blue = Waterproofing Green = Drywall Orange = Tile Purple = Plumbing Yellow = Electrical Example: For a bathroom remodel, I could select only the shower walls and assign demolition, waterproofing, and tile installation to those exact wall sections. The selected areas would remain visually highlighted on the floor plan and linked directly to estimate items. This would significantly improve estimating accuracy, project planning, client communication, subcontractor coordination, and scope-of-work documentation for remodeling contractors.
