It would be very beneficial to add some editing functionality to the desktop application.

Thank you all for the continued feedback on this request. We fully recognize how important desktop editing is for professional workflows!
We want to share an important update:
We are planning to enable editing in the magicplan desktop/cloud experience in 2026.
Recent advancements in technologies now make it possible to deliver a desktop experience that meets professional expectations!
While we can’t share detailed scope or timelines yet, this work is now on our roadmap, and we’ll communicate more as development progresses.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to hold us accountable!

It always takes sooo much time to have to switch devices back and forth. That should be a basic function. I really wonder why that still doesn't exist when so many people want it.

This discussion has been going on since 06/23??? I can't believe it... This should be an absolute basic function that can also be edited on the MAC. Too bad money for the 1-year license. I'll keep looking... I don't need toys on my smartphone, I need something for a professional environment.

This is crucial functionality.... Without it, magicplan feels half baked. The amount of switching back and forth between devices costs me hours per week at least. I really hope you guys can make this work soon before I am forced build my own custom solution. I already did the same when several of my software solutions/apps lagged too far behind my needs in terms of features or ease of use. I can code, it will take me some time, but I can build a solution that fits my needs and market it, like I am doing with my others so other people can benefit as well. I will be releasing a magicplan x Salesforce integration within the coming months so people can manage their projects more easily using sales/project management software that can be customized to fit their needs. We just need a little more magicplan API functionality and web editing features to make a truly full featured, easy to use, fully customizable project management platform. Quit trying to re-invent the wheel, Salesforce already does 90% of what we need. Some tweaks to magicplan's functionality (e.g. web editing) would be so much more useful.

Statistical Dove Exactly! I don't want to work on a 9inch display. That is not reasonable. As long as that doesn't work, the app is just an expensive toy, not suitable for professional users.

Statistical Dove I'm interested in the alternative to Magicplan, when you can continue editing the sketches on a MAC/PC.

Alloy Viper
To be able to modify (on the computer session) plans created whith the phone app
For example, there is a room with a large door that doesn't exist but the scan has created it, and i'm not able to manage my plan without scanning the room again

Can't edit the floor plan
B
Bellflower Alligator
captured the floor plan with my iPhone. Magicplan generated the floor plan, but I couldn't edit anything - room sizes, walls, doors, etc. When I clicked on an object or a room, there was No edit button/menu. Any suggestions?
Finneas Reich
Hi Bellflower Alligator, thanks for reaching out! Please note that editing a floor plan is only possible on your phone/tablet right now. In the magicplan cloud, you can review your floor plan, but not edit it. I hope this helps?
I'll go ahead and merge your post with the existing feature request called "Add editing functionality to Desktop / cloud (floor plan editor)" to add your vote there. As soon as we'll have updates on this topic, you'll receive a notification from Canny.

Need for Web-based Editing and Faster Feature Development in Magicplan
S
Secure Reindeer
We’ve noticed that feature development in Magicplan has slowed down significantly, with very few items marked as in progress. It’s disappointing that cloud-based modifications across teams are still not possible, as this limitation is one of the main reasons we cannot fully adopt Magicplan for our floor planning needs.
We and many others have been requesting these features for a long time, and it’s saddening not to see progress. We strongly believe there’s a huge opportunity for Magicplan to grow by enabling team collaboration and cloud-based editing. We hope the management recognises this and takes the necessary steps forward.
Bernd Wolfram
Secure Reindeer Thanks for sharing this thoughtful feedback! We absolutely understand the value of real-time, cloud-based editing for team collaboration! That said, this isn't something we will tackle in the near term!
Our strategic focus lies on developing magicplan as a project management platform for restoration and remodelling experts, not primarily on a floor plan editing solution.

Bernd Wolfram Would it really make such a big difference to open up these possibilities to more people? I’m having a hard time understanding your position on this, as it comes across as stubborn management.

Bernd Wolfram If this is used as a project management platform for restoration and modifications, cloud-based further processing of the sketches is a must! I have an electrical company and we do a lot of modifications and core renovations. I want to use Magicplan for electrical planning, but it simply won't work without further processing on the MAC. I can't plan all house installations on one smart phone. This is eternally time-consuming and unreasonable for my employees.

This would be a game changer! I would love to be able to add objects, walls etc. on the laptop. This would increase precision in designing.
