We’ve expanded our ESX export to make your floor plan data even more complete. Objects and affected areas created in magicplan are now carried over into Xactimate.
When you export an ESX file from magicplan and import it into Xactimate, those elements will appear directly in the floor plan — for clearer, more detailed claim documentation.

First, captured in 360°; then share as a tour! With 360° Tours, you can transform your images into interactive, room-to-room experiences and publish them directly from the magicplan app or cloud.
Instantly generate a shareable link that anyone can open — no login required. It’s the fastest way to provide clients, teams, or adjusters with a true-to-life view of your project, from anywhere.
We’ve enhanced our ESX export to ensure your photo documentation is more complete. Captions added in magicplan are now carried over with each image, so when you import your ESX into Xactimate, those notes appear directly in the photo’s Description field.
Creation dates are also transferred automatically, filling the Date Taken field in Xactimate. This means your exported files now include the full context — images, captions, and timestamps — for clearer, more accurate claim documentation.
We’re making it easier than ever to capture the details that matter most. With the new Affected Areas feature, you can highlight custom zones directly on floors or walls to mark damage, track square footage, or define unique sections of a space.
Each area is fully customizable — reshape, label, and color it to fit your needs — and measurements are calculated instantly. Whether you’re documenting water damage, a fire-affected wall, or a special install zone, your projects now get an extra layer of clarity and precision.
We’ve partnered with Tramex to bring seamless moisture tracking into magicplan. You can now connect your Tramex devices via Bluetooth and transfer readings directly into your floor plans — fast, accurate, and tied to your documentation.
We’ve added a new feature to Auto-Scan: Session Replay — a video recording of each scan session that’s captured automatically as you work.
It’s a simple way to revisit your walkthrough and reference areas you may have missed, even if no photo was taken — no extra steps required.

We’re expanding what’s possible with 360Link — magicplan’s immersive 360° camera integration — by adding full support for Insta360 devices, in addition to RICOH360.
Now, users can connect a wider range of leading 360° cameras to seamlessly capture, control, and document spaces with spatial context and professional-grade visuals.

magicplan now supports the RICOH360 THETA A1 — a rugged 360° camera designed for extreme environments! Capture immersive 360° photos even in tough conditions. Check out our full list of compatible 360° cameras here.

We’ve enhanced AR-Auto-Scan to automatically detect the specific type of door or window during scanning. Whether it’s a casement or French window, a wooden or glass door, magicplan will classify it for you—no extra steps needed. You can also manually adjust the type if needed for full control.
