Issues with stairs and staircases - collection post

Stairs leave a lot to be desired.
You really can't do anything with them. Tried to add stairs from ground to 2nd floor, wasted sooo much time trying every option to no avail. Stairs are just unusable. Can't set length with out affecting width, can't stack stairs with landings from ground to next level, can't change or alter orientation. Little to No parameters to set.. just extremely disappointed..
Stairs are everywhere.. it's a needed function.
Please fix. This shouldn't be a feature request, it's a necessity.. Please fix.

Ability to cut stairs in half (vertically too).

In many occasions on multi level properties it would be great if you could cut the stairs (especially on 3d renders). This would make the connection between stairs a bit more intuitive and straight forward.

Stair landing not displaying correctly

Rapid Shrimp
When inserting stairs with a landing, they are not displayed correctly in the 3D view if their original dimensions are modified. Additionally, the stair width must be increased to ensure consistent rendering. If the stairs are surrounded by walls, a visible gap appears in the 3D view, requiring an increase in width for the stairs to properly align with the walls without gaps.

When I make U shaped staircase corner steps with landing and then switch to 3D. Then the staircase is not seen in 3D

Issues with 3D rendering for U-shaped Staircase object

The flat corner landing option for the U-Shaped staircase is not rendering in 3D. Changing the up-arrow from left to right is also causing the staircase not to render in 3D

narrower steps should be possible on stairs.
In addition, with spiral staircases, the individual areas should be able to have different thicknesses.

Hello MagicPlan team,
At CobroSeguroPro SPA, a company dedicated to technical advice on claims, we use the app intensively to prepare reports and plans that accompany our claims. We understand the frustration generated by limitations in the representation of stairs, and although there is no direct or completely precise solution, we share how we have overcome the step, while developing a more robust tool.
🔧 Temporary solution that we apply:
We insert breaks as independent objects, which we rotate according to the actual orientation observed on the ground.
In between breaks, we added straight flights of stairs.
For each object (rest and ladder) we configure length and width based on real measurements verified on the ground.
We also adjusted the direction arrow (up/down), which is editable on the ladder object.
We know that this solution is not technically correct in terms of architectural notation, but it allows us to generate a useful representation for visual and technical effects, especially in accident inspection contexts.
💡 Tip for the team:
It would be ideal to incorporate a “stair cut” option, such as the one commonly used in architectural plans. This would allow a professional reading of connection between levels without resorting to forced solutions.
📎 Reference images:
EscaleraTipoU.png: plan example of a “U” staircase configured with breaks and intermediate straight sections. It represents how we visually get out of step.
EscaleraDescansosExtremos.png: shows breaks at the beginning and end, rotated according to the actual direction of the section.
Escalera2Descansos.png: Another example with two breaks in between.
EscaleraArquitectura.png: technical reference image with standard notation of a cut ladder, suggested as an improvement to be integrated.
We hope that this experience will serve both the team and other users while working on a more flexible native solution.
Regards,

Cannot see u shaped stairs in 3d view

When u shaped stairs are placed in the plan (default left arrow up) you can see the stairs in the 3d plan. I need to reverse the stair direction (right arrow up). When I do this I see the change in the 2d plan, but the stairs are then invisible in the 3d view. Please advise.
