📐 Improvements to the budget module (Estimate): decimals, visible rates, calculation logic and consistent export to Excel
Hello MagicPlan team, At CobroSeguroPro SPA, we use its platform to generate technical reports and professional budgets in housing insurance claims processes in Chile. We appreciate the potential of the Estimate module, but there are several key settings that could make a big difference in efficiency and clarity. 1 ️ 392 Eliminate decimals in amounts from the budget Currently, MagicPlan displays values with two decimal places by default, even when they are zeros (.00). In Chile, budgets are presented without decimals for technical practice and clarity to insurers. ✅ I request an option to choose the number of visible decimals: 2 decimals A decimal 0 decimals (without decimals) 2 ️ 392 Show applied rates with transparency: General Expenses and VAT In each budget we apply: General Expenses and Utility (25%) of the Subtotal VAT (19%) also on the Subtotal These rates are pre-configured within the module, but they are not clearly displayed in the exported PDF: You can't see the% applied The calculation base is not indicated Only the amount appears, which requires external validations ✅ I request that the summary show: Subtotal: $2,513,985 General Expenses and Utility (25% of Subtotal): + $628,496 VAT (19% on Subtotal): + $597,071 Total (tax included): $3,739,552 This improves liquidator confidence and technical traceability. 3 ️ 392 Export to Excel inconsistent with the PDF This is one of the most critical points: Although the PDF has a professional and clear structure (grouping by enclosure, ordered items, final breakdown), the export to Excel does not maintain any of these structures. The games appear mixed, without grouping by venue. There are no partial totals, no subtotal, GG, VAT or final total. The sheet needs to be completely reformatted manually to be usable. ✅ I request that the export to Excel exactly reflect the structure of the PDF, including: Grouping by venues Order of games Subtotals and totals Trading conditions This would avoid having to “rebuild” the budget in another application just to deliver it in editable format. 4 ️ 392 Reference image and file PDF: Budget 1927073 Damage Repair Sismo.pdf → shows the correct format Excel: Budget 1927073 Damage Repair Sismo.xlsx → shows the errors mentioned 🎯 Why is it important? It improves the productivity of real technical users. It reinforces the consistency between what is configured and what is exported. It makes the work of insurers easier and avoids misinterpretations. Avoid having to create external apps to interpret an incorrect exportable. Thank you for considering this improvement, which would allow the MagicPlan budget module to become a truly robust and professional tool for demanding technical flows. Regards, MagicPlan technical user — CobroSeguroPro SPA

Price Estimator Filter
Dear MagicPlan team, I hope they're all right. I am an active user of MagicPlan and frequently use the price estimator to prepare estimates for damage repair in insurance claims. However, I have noticed that when loading items from my price list, the items are always ordered in a disordered way, despite the fact that in my original list they have structured and organized codes. This forces me to order them manually, which consumes unnecessary time. Improvement suggestion: I propose to add the option of filters in the price estimator, similar to those found in Excel, allowing you to sort the items by the column that is deemed necessary. In my case, my price list is already structured with two criteria: Location of the construction item : The order follows a logical path of damage to the property, from top to bottom. For example, first roofs, then ceilings, walls and finally floors. Construction Sequence Code : Within each category, the items must respect the order in which the repairs are carried out, starting with the demolition, then the preparation of the base, the installation and finally the finishes. If the MagicPlan price estimator allowed filtering and sorting the starting column or code in ascending alphabetical order, the items would be automatically organized in the correct way without having to do it manually. Practical example: If we are repairing ceramics damaged by an earthquake, when filtering the code column in ascending order, they would be organized as follows: 4001.27 Wall Ceramics: Demolition, cloth, broken pipe 4001.29 Wall Ceramics: Dismantling and base surface preparation 4001.30 Wall Ceramics: Supply and installation 4001.31 Wall Ceramics: Supply and application of fragrances This filter would allow users to organize their budgets more efficiently, saving time in preparation and avoiding the need to search for another tool outside MagicPlan to make budgets. I greatly appreciate your time and consideration. I remain attentive to your comments.
