I have used the scan feature to generate a floor plan for a renovation project, then used the objects to add in furniture to plan the design, then place sockets and light fitting etc, around the designed room layouts. There needs to be an option for exporting the plan without the furniture to make it easy to give to trades like plumbers and electricians, as sofa's, wardrobes, beds, hide the location of things like electrical sockets
