Exterior scan / Create rooms from exterior measurements

I can’t seem to close a house from the exterior. In my state of NC we measure from the exterior and those numbers are what determines the Heated SQFT. You should let one continuous scan to be counted as the first floor and then the same with a second floor. Let’s say I’m just verifying the sqft that someone says it is. I don’t need to measure each room and create a detailed floor plan. It be awesome if I could input actual numbers in a directional sense (like when I measure a home I start at the far right (facing the front door) then start going left and each measurement looks like this for example. 22.4L (left)
13U (up)
17.35L
2.6D
12.85L
45.35U
12.85 R (right)
4D (down) then all the way right (that’s the backside of your home where you started then you close it out by going down. This will give me exterior measurements of the first floor. Then take out the garage as a separate field and that’s deducting from the first floor OTH. Then repeat for the 2nd floor, 3rd and so on. Very quick way to check my numbers and it gives me an accurate number before leaving the home

There are some rooms that are inaccessible in the field. It would be nice to be able to draw them using exterior measurements only.

I have successfully done this before using the corner scan feature. The first thing I do is choose a corner of a home and begin the corner scan. Immediately, I turn off the “auto detect corner” feature then manually aim the bullseye at the first exterior corner then press the screen. As I begin to walk to the next corner, I point my phone screen down and ignore it until I get to the next corner. I raise the phone, aim the bullseye and press the screen. I continue this until I arrive at the last corner. At this point, MP knows this is the final corner and when I click the screen, I have my exterior measurements. I verify the measurements with a digital laser meter and find they are accurate within 1/4”. So for me, this is handy for drawing a site map. See my example photo. I hope this helps.
Oh I should mention: At the end before saving, I can point my phone at windows and doors and it adds them for me. Very handy. I even do the corner scan for mapping property lines. It’s waaay easier and more practical than using my measure wheel.
