...why you make changes that makes use of MP it more difficult and less user-friendly for your users. You made toilets and vanities floating floor items when they were originally wall items. In my 67 years, I have never seen a toilet or vanity sitting in the middle of a bathroom floor. But you now make that possible...causing users to have to reorient the fixture and place it to the wall in each bath or restroom. You have a light switches and receptacles 1', yes 12", in height that must be changed to to 4 or 5 inches every time. No one on this planet uses these 12' high items. Just calculate the wasted time one must spend on on 40,000sf commercial building.
These are just a few of many. But now, you've increased the size of the "favorite" star in the item list probably 10-fold, which results in you actually accidentally un-highlighting the item so it disappears from the favorite list. We have 10 measure techs working all across the state, and all 10 are complaining about this happening. I accidentally deleted 16 items the the course of my day yesterday. Why? The prior design was fine with no issues.
You should concentrate on fixing bugs and and making MP more user-friendly. I appreciate you fixing the random room name changes that the app was doing on its own. Here's another fix you should work on...when scanning a room, the default room color is light gray...the first gray on the color palette. Now, on some scanned rooms, the gray jumps up to the next gray tone. When you highlight the room, the palette indicates the room is now white, when it is actually the darker gray. Its been happening for about a week. Yesterday, on a large commercial project we had to change the color on 33 different rooms. This is happening with all of our techs, so it's not isolated to just one tablet. Please fix.

Hi Skilled Scallop, we looked into the issue you reported about rooms having different background colors. What you’re seeing is actually related to how default room colors are applied. Each room type can “remember” a custom color if it was manually changed from the details panel. For example, if a Dining Room was once set to a darker gray, the next Dining Room you add will automatically use that same color. That’s why you may notice differences between projects or devices — it isn’t app-specific but tied to the last saved color for each room type.
To get back to the original default colors, you can use the “Reset” button in the room color field (found in the details panel). This clears any custom color settings, so newly added rooms will again use the default palette.
I know it can be frustrating to have to adjust many rooms on a big project, and your feedback helps us see how this impacts real workflows. I’ll make sure your case is shared with our product team so we can review how this behavior might be improved in the future.

Hi Skilled Scallop, thanks a lot for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. Good news first: the issue with the oversized favorite icon has just been fixed in this week’s app release (2025.27.0), so that should no longer be a problem.
We added the background color issue you mentioned into our backlog. It sounds like an unintended change, and we’ll investigate to get it resolved as soon as possible.
As for the object updates (like vanities, toilets, switch/receptacle heights, etc.), these are indeed based on feedback from a wide range of users and industry practices. That said, we understand your points and will review this again to see how we can improve the experience and usability across different use cases.
Thanks again! Input like yours helps us keep making magicplan better.
