Hi Xenon grey Bee , thanks for reaching out! Could you please add some details as to what you would like to do with the object? Currently, the smoke detector objects are wall objects, which means that they can only be placed on a wall.

Hi Finneas Reich as you can see the objects are sticking on the walls only. It should be movable to wherever I want it on the layout. Smoke alarms are supposed to be on ceiling in Canada. Thank you

Hi Xenon grey Bee, thanks, now I understand. We have been working on improving our objects. In our updated restoration objects which will be rolled out soon, the smoke detector will be flexible to use, not just on a wall. Please stay tuned for that release. You will be notified automatically here on Canny once the new objects went live.
